Number 39

This project is in esscence a top floor extension of an existing terraced house, but it isn’t your typical loft conversion. The property is a “new-build” with a flat roof so the existing building fabric has a different quality and requires different sensitivities.

The client for this project had a strong idea for what they were hoping to achieve and it was our role to interpret and refine that vision to create something really special that aims to surpass what they hoped they could achieve. An efficient plan makes the most of a small space to create an office and a child’s bedroom.

It responds to another neighbouring extension, the existing external materiality of the building as well as the broader development.
